Te Kete o Karaitiana Taiuru (Blog)

Haka on Twitter ?

Two days ago I wrote at my disbelief and sadness of the lack of innovation that was being used by Māori Language advocates. While no public comments appeared on my blog, my cell phone and email certainly were busy with people questioning me and seeking advise. Not to mention those people who reminded me that I was once a staunch advocate of te reo Māori and questioning what I did for the week.

Today I receive a Tweet about a Haka to be performed on Twitter. The worlds first Haka on Twitter occurred during Māori language week in support of the All Blacks. What a truly innovative idea.

To participate in the Twitter Haka search for Twaka. Derived from Twitter Haka (Twitter + Haka = #Twaka). Alternatively you can join the following people on Twitter or myself @ktaiuru

@tasteNZ @NZBiz4Sale @onzamap @AllWaysRentals @dialogCRM @kimmynz @michaelqtodd @teamsocial @TEDxOSAKA

A quick Twitter search on #twaka and it looks like there are a number of people going to participate in the twaka.
